As a special thank you for our Maintenance and Updates clients, we are happy to announce a service upgrade to our web-based backup service! Whereas we had previously used WPVivid Backups Free, it offered limited capability for backing up your database and files, only allowing for full-site backups. This limits the number of backups that can be stored at any given time due to the file size of each backup. It also does not support the option to select the time of day to run the backup task, which can result in the backup being performed at a time when the site is experiencing a traffic volume that results in the site loading more slowly and having poorer performance, both for site viewers and the backup solution itself.
We have upgraded to a customized, white-label Kristen’s Koncepts Backups. This solution offers the ability to get storage sizes right on the backups page, as well as incremental backups and a quicker interface for restoring the site from a backup if there is ever a problem! The automation is superior to the previous free version solution, enabling us to select a time of day to run backups so that we can plan ahead and select a time that the site experiences the least amount of visitors, usually between midnight and 3 am, which results in fewer slowdowns for the site visitors and a more efficient backup.
This upgraded backup solution also allows us to narrow down which users have access to the backups for enhanced security. By default, only Kristen’s Koncepts has access at this time. If any client wants or needs access to the backups, just let us know! We will be happy to set you up with access, then walk you through the different screens and what they do

We are planning out several other upgrades to your services in 2026! All of our current Maintenance and Updates clients will automatically receive the following upgrades as they are rolled out:

- [Expanding Your Brand] Styled login screen to match your website.
- [Information and Marketing] Website analytics added to your weekly reports.
- [Marketing and SEO] Website marketing and SEO packages will soon be available as discounted add-ons to Maintenance and Updates contract clients!
While the Website marketing and SEO packages will not be automatically added to your contract, you will be among the first to be offered these services, and you will be able to receive them at a hugely discounted rate as an add-on service!
