Maintenance & Updates Service Upgrade Announcement!

We are very pleased to announce a service upgrade for our Maintenance & Updates clients! Your service has gotten better, in the background while you weren’t looking!

Updates

As always, we are installing updates to your web application software as they are released. We check your site for updates that are needed and install them for you. We also visually inspect your site after updates are installed to ensure your site is loading smoothly and that it looks right.

Website Response Time

We have added a new feature in your weekly reports: a Website Response Time chart! This metric tracks how long your website and pages take to load in a browser. Your website response time is an important indicator of your website and server health. A slow-loading site can tell us many things, including a high server load or scripts failing to load in the background. We check this regularly, but now you can also see your website response time in your weekly reports. Very low numbers are great! Anything over 4 seconds will impact your listing position in search engines, so we want to always have low numbers.

Google Search Console

We ensure that all of our maintenance & updates clients are added to Google Search by default. Now your weekly reports will include an overview of your search metrics, such as impressions and clicks. Impressions are how many times your website appeared in search results, and clicks are how many times someone actually clicked on the link.

Analytics

Most of our maintenance & updates clients are used to logging into the website backend and seeing Google Analytics overviews right there. They are staying where they are, but we have added a new feature! We have also added Independent Analytics, a self-hosted and very lightweight analytics program that will add new information to your weekly reports, including overall page views and the number of visitors to your site.
